I heard about this blog through a podcast and of course I had to check it out. Click HERE to read more. Basically it's a site designed to help you achieve personal goals. First you decide on a goal, set the stakes (money is optional), get a referee and add friends for support. It's kinda neat.

Fresh Paint
So what do you think of the paint job? We're loving it. I'm glad I decided to go with a beige for the gables. It just has a cozy feel to it now. Aren't the dogwoods beautiful?!

No Good
I've discovered it's impossible to be sick and rest when you're a mother especially when the kiddos are sick too. Praying for better days ahead :)

Take Me Away
Yesterday we took H and W to the doctor, now I'm feeling completely crummy. This is probably the worst I've felt in four years. Sigh.

Breaking UP
I've had this Circle of Friends forever, well since college when my roommate CJ gave it to me. They broke up tonight after a battle with the garden hose. Only two left standing. I suppose one friend is better than none.

Standasaurius
It's official, W is pulling up and standing. Unfortunately she's not as cautious as her brother. She's fallen at least a dozen times in the past couple of days. However, she's getting better at landing.

Website Wednesday - Nanny in the Clouds
How genius is this?! Click HERE for Nanny in the Clouds. Launched in 2011, Nanny in the Clouds was born after a mom took a flight from the West Coast to the East Coast with her very energetic 2 year old. How do parents fly alone with more than one child? she thought. Frazzled by flying with just one bouncy kid, she thought of how much easier it would be if she had an extra set of hands.
Looking around the plane, she saw many friendly faces; people she thought might be able to help her keep her child entertained and keep tears at bay. A lightbulb flashed! Aha! A nanny service that provides parents the option of traveling with a nanny. Prior to this site, if you wanted to travel with a nanny, you would have to cover her plane ticket and time. With this matching site, you are only responsible for the $10 matching fee as well as the cost of your nanny's time.
You can even have them meet you for check-in and the dreaded security line! Such a smart idea.

My Paci
Waverly never really took to a paci. It made us laugh today when she discovered Baby Manny's paci. Ahh, she's learning to share.

Just Hide It
This valentine's day, Harrison received quite a bit of candy from his classmates. We try to limit his sugar consumption otherwise he turns a little crazy. This was his first encounter with Fun Dip. I said he could have 3 dips right now then more later. Well, he said he did four b/c he thought he needed that many. Then he told me to hide it. He didn't want to be tempted :) So funny and sweet!

Heading Home
This morning we had a lovely family breakfast. One of the highlights of the trip was the bathtub at the hotel! Kids are so funny. Their favorite toys are always the box the toy comes in or the 50 cent balloon.

Mardi Gras Celebration
After a long and stressful week, we decided to head south for the spicy crawfish and Mardi Gras celebration. I contacted my college buddy Emily and it worked out perfect b/c it's was her daughter's 4th birthday party.
The theme was Pirates and Princesses. Harrison was pretty bashful towards the ladies :)
The kiddos decorated their wagons and had a mini parade down the street. Kiddie Krewe on the go!
It's not a parade without a little Mario! He kept the mustache on the whole time.
Our man was loving it and passing out beads to everyone.
Arrrrr! Stay outta my way!
The birthday girl with her pirate Mardi Gras cake. YUMMY!
Isn't little brother SO cute?!
Emily is so talented. She painted the background banner. Here's her website Magnolia Creative.
Emily also painted this sign! So creative AND fun. Good times, good times.

Baby Dolls
How cute is this? Waverly moved her Cabbage Patch Doll next to her in the crib and they are both sleeping on their tummies. I can't imagine it getting better than this.

Rough Day
You ever have one of those rough day where you wish you could just crawl away from it all? Yesterday was one of those. My sister gave me this great quote that hopefully help in this situation. Is it Friday yet?

Website Wednesday - houzz
My SIL showed me this cool site called houzz. Click HERE for it. It's kinda like Pinterest only for rooms in your house! It's a destination site for home design enthusiasts. It includes over 250,000 interior and exterior photos, articles, product recommendations and social tools to manage the remodeling and decorating process.

Sweethearts
A special thank you to Bob and Mimi who watched the little ones this evening so we could enjoy a little sweetheart time.
I love that Ryan suggested this restaurant. It's a hole in the wall and one of our favorites. Thank you honey for being you!

Steve Jobs
I've been on the waiting list at the library for Steve Job's biography by Walter Isaacson and it was finally mine turn. Unfortunately, it's only a 14 day loan and it's a lot thicker than I imagined. I'm about half way through and a week left. So far, it's a fascinating read. Makes me appreciate my apple products even more!

Heaven Bound
The other day, Harrison was watching Netflix and the sound stopped working.
Me: Sorry buddy, I think our computer is dying. It's about time to get a new one.
H: Guess it's getting ready to go to heaven.

Play, Play, Play
We missed Liam and Austin during our monthly playdate but these kiddos tried not to skip a beat. Waverly and I always have such a good time during these gatherings.

Tasty Snack
I tried out a new super easy recipe tonight for the playdate tomorrow. Just take a tube of croissant rolls, spread with peanut butter, add some chocolate chips, roll and bake. Whalla you're done.

7 Months!
This has been the most difficult monthly picture to take. Waverly is much too busy to sit still for a shot. She's a mover and shaker.
Ryan has nicknamed her Play-verly because that's what life is all about for this little lady. Play, Play, Play. She keeps quite a few toys in her crib so she'll have plenty to entertain herself when she gets up. It's funny, Harrison never had any toys in his crib, as soon as he was up, he wanted out. She'll play for quite awhile before joining the rest of us. She's still as sweet as can be.

Built-In Entertainment
One of the best aspects of having two children versus one is they can entertain each other. Whenever they are in the back together, Waverly stares at Harrison the entire time. He'll occasionally pass her a toy so she'll stop :)
No more pictures, Mama! Let me be the photographer!

Go Team
The kids cheered on their cousins today at the basketball game. Someday that will be them out there! Hard to imagine.

Website Wednesday - Canstruction
Have you heard of Canstructions? Click HERE to find out more. It's a nonprofit organization that holds annual design and build competitions to construction fantastic, giant sized, structures made entirely out of canned food. In each city after the structures are built and the winners declared the creations go on view to the general public as art exhibits. At the close of the competitions all the food used in the structures is donated to the local food banks for distribution to community emergency feeding programs. Pretty cool, if you ask me!
