The other day I was listening to NPR and I heard a program called Arkansas Cooks. Click HERE for more information. Life is too short for bad food.

Coloring Buddies
It's color time! Harrison is all about the variety while Waverly only wanted the yellow crayon. I love them so.

Tie Rack Rake
I saw on Pinterest a tie rack from an old, metal rake. Genius! I had a pickin' adventure in Bob's garage and found the perfect one.

Sprinkler Fun
The weather is heating up so it's time to break out the sprinkler. Harrison kept his distance but Way crawled to the center. Harrison and I have a lot in common.
I heart Hello Kitty and so does Waverly.

Treatment
Oh my poor baby, still not feeling the greatest so we took a trip to the doctor. She heard some crackling in the lungs so little man had to experience his first breathing treatment. Already felt better afterwards :)

Juicy
I set this snack down for H and the natural lighting through the window was amazing. Did I mention I hate using a flash? I try to avoid it at all cost.

More Than A Buck Store
Is it just me or is this price pretty random? I can understand a buck or 99 cents but 1.09?! Unfortunately, this store is closing its door. I guess people weren't willing to pay an extra dime.

Swimming Hole
Swimming holes . . . our state is full of them and I love this one. Okay, I didn't actually go swimming but the view was fantastic.
They're debating whether to go for it or inch in. The water is pretty cold!
Harrison is keeping up with cousins J and D.
Trying to find that perfect skipping stone . . .

Great Grands
This bunch of great-grandkids can't imagine a world without computers. I wonder what's going to happen in the next 10 years . . . maybe I should brush up on the Bond movies ;)

Nursery Tour
My mom let me crash her garden club meeting tour this evening. Their vegetable garden was amazing and I was green with envy.
She grows her blueberries in giant, black plastic containers and mixed the soil with leaves and pine needles.
Bottle trees are pretty popular in these parts of the woods. This is still on my wish list (hint, hint Ryan) and the blue captures the lighting just right.
Need a use for a rusty wheel barrel? Make it into a herb garden!

7 Years
Happy Anniversary, my love! It almost seems longer than 7 years maybe because we've been together for 11 ;) I love you through and through, yesterday, today and tomorrow too.

Quapaw Tour
A historic house tour + beautiful skies = a perfect mother's day. Thanks mom for coming along :)
Do you how you can tell a pie safe is authentic? If the holes are punched from the inside out that way it prevents bugs from stealing nibbles.
Another interesting fact, back-in-the-day celery was a special treat so the hostess would display it in a special celery vase. The guests would admire the beauty then later chop down on it.
This is side view of P. Allen Smith's city home garden. My favorite boxwoods and terra cotta pots.
Here's an idea...putting large shutters next to your garden shed door.
Here's a shot of creative shelving on the side of the shed. Go ahead and turn your pots over or tip them to the side.
I'm digging this walkway!

Mother's Weekend
I had the honor of attending a Mother's Day program at Harrison's school. He decorated the placemat, card and bag for me :) Inside the card it said, "I love my mommy because she makes me breakfast." Good to know!
Nothing better than fresh picked strawberries, nothing worse than sitting on an ant hill. We experience both today. Unfortunately it was Harrison who discovered the ants in the pants! He said he never wants to go back!

Cross Roads
This week has been one of the hardest I've had in quite awhile. After 8 years, I've decided to resign from my art director position so I can spend more quality time with my hubby and monkeys. I've been super stress lately with work and home that I knew in my heart I needed a change. Time goes by so fast I'm afraid I'll wake up one morning and realized I missed out on these young years.
I recently read a quote "Leap and a net will appear." I've had to repeat this to myself quite a few times. We're a little concerned how to survive financially but I have faith it will work out. I'm looking for part-time and/or freelance opportunities. Anyone interested ;) At least now I'll finally have enough time to start my Etsy store!

Antro Love
Anthropologie, oh how I love thee! Great place for inspiration. It's hard to tell from this image but these are hanging paint sticks dipped in a solid color then splattered with other colors. I recently saw someone using paint sticks to cover an outdoor table.
Water knobs as hooks?!! Too cool.
Hmmm, the ideas are flowing and flowing. I need to start a journal!

Paint It Yellow
I'm working on updating my office area. Nana gave me a bunch of her milk glass and I've been trying to figure out the best spot to display. My friend Sara came over and we brainstormed different solutions. I decided to possibly paint the back wall of the built-in a yellow hue. I'm lovin' the names . . . Lemon Sorbet, Zinnia Gold, Sunflower, Macaw, Mellow Yellow, Empire Yellow. Oh the choices!

10 Months!
Look who's 10 months today!!! This was the only decent shot I could get of Miss Busy-Britches. It's still play, play, play for Miss Waverly. She loves for us to chase her around the house and she's getting pretty fast. She also plays fetch with herself which is super cute.
The front two teeth are in so that makes a total of four chompers. She's using her sign language for more, all done and waving hi/bye. Dada is her favorite word. She imitates dog's barking "ouff, ouff, ouff."
We all love you so much little Way-Way.

Game Day
How funny is this?! Future pitcher?
Harrison took this pic of the rest of the family. It's nice to have another photographer in the clan.

Cutting Loose
Are you ever driving down the road and something catches your eye? We did a loop around the block so I could snap a pic. Random.

Poor Baby
My poor baby has the flu. I wish I could have it instead of him. He laid in the shower today hoping to "wash the sickness away."
