My Sweetie

My sweet heart brought me flowers today. He never gives me them on holidays but waits until I'm not expecting it. It's hard to believe we've been together for 12 YEARS!!!

Crowbars

Our conversation on the way home from school:

Me: Oh look, this house is for for rent.

H: We should move in!

Me: No, I like our house and I'm not moving.

H: Well, it's going to take a crowbar to get you outta our house. Dada and me will each have to get one.

Silly Buns Bambina

I don't know what it is about Wavy but she's always cracking us up. Lately, after she's finished her cereal, she lifts her bowl and finished the milk. Sometimes it actually make it into her mouth!

This is her showing us her biggest smile, which in turn makes me to it right back at her.

Kitty's Bear

Even "Cat" (W's name for Lucy) has a pink bear.

Escape

Ryan and I were able to escape the kids and enjoy some alone time. We started the day at a local coffee shop and I couldn't help but photograph these signs. My heart always smiles when I see handwriting with doodles/drawings.

Grand Love

I love seeing the kids hang out with Nana, their great-grandmother. So sweet.

Here's my first sign I create from pallets with the hubby's help. I was secretly glad it didn't sell last weekend so now it can live in my kitchen.

I'm not sure what these dolls did to Waverly but apparently it wasn't very good.

Sleepy Day

Lucy has the right idea today. I envy her for being able to nap...

What the?!?!

W is one tough little lady. I've learned not to freak out whenever she falls but to just stand back and wait to see if she's really hurt (I wish I would have done with H). The other day at the park, she lost balance and in slow motion fell down a stair and landed on her back. She slowly rolled over and climbed back up. Atta girl! The mulch all over her hair and back side didn't seem to slow her down. BTW, she picked out her outfit (loves H's clothes with trucks paired with pink shirts).

Getting Crafty or COLD?

The big day is here and our booth is ready for business. I did have a moment of panic when I discovered my necklaces were one big GINORMOUS knot (breathe in, breathe out, repeat) and when our tent almost blew away from the arctic wind tunnel blasts. Luckily my toes managed to thaw out by the afternoon...

Thank goodness our friends came to support us (financially and mentally) otherwise it might have been a total bust. We also managed to make a few connections which could pay off in the near future. The best part is we proved to ourselves we can do this! Now we just need to find the right market/show/event.

SAHM

One of my favorite things about being a SAHM is picking Harrison up from school and going for an ice cream treat for no particular reason. 

Waverly enjoys these days too :)

Mountain Man

Harrison isn't the only hairy one in the family...meet my mountain man. I believe it's just a little out of control in this pic. He's pretty proud of it and there's no stopping him now!

Happy Mardi Gras

Happy Mardi Gras!!! We have a fun-filled (aka exhausting for me) day. The afternoon activities included a Mardi Gras parade at school. The weather was crappy so they moved it indoors. The Catholic High band belted out tunes while the Prek-ers and Kindergarteners were the stars of the parade passing out / throwing candy and beads. Talk about craziness!!! I don't know how many H threw that managed to hit me on the head. The kids enjoyed a mini carnival afterwards. 

Our conversation about Lent:

Me: During Lent, people will give up items or activities that they enjoy. I'm going to give up Instagram (GASP, I know! It's going to be hard!)

H: What's something I can give up?

Me: Mmm, maybe Jolly Ranchers?

H: No, I really like those. Maybe something work related.... (sounds good to me)!

Big Em'

I told H his pants were kinds short and he said "they say 4 inside of them and I'm 4." 

Can't argue with that.

Our conversation the other day on the way home from school, he brought up his cavity:

H: Mama, I know why I have a cavity.

Me: Oh really, why?

H: This story might not be true but this is what happened. Dada made five batches of cookies and made me sample one from each batch. Then the next morning he made three more batches and made me eat those too.

Me: I'll have to let Dada know not to make so many cookies.

On Friday after I picked him up:

H: Mass is an extra long nap.

Gearing UP

I'm getting ready for next weekend's show. I had Ryan pick some pallets up for me to create some rustic, wooden signs. Unfortunately it took him about an hour to dismantle one. Oops. I think there's a new plan in the works :)

Chili with a Kick

If anyone is free next Saturday, you should come to Chili with a Kick! Click HERE for details. Kat and I are going to have a craft booth set up. I'm really hoping the weather will be as nice as it has been lately. I've asked for a spot with electricity in case I need to plug in a space heater, ha!

I'm starting to create some new designs for it. I'm stress too...it's hard to figure out how much to make without spending too much and to have that right balance. 

Book Club

I can't remember if I've mentioned this before but Harrison loves the Hardy Boys. He'll even have me read a chapter to him before school if we have an extra time (which is rare). Ahhh, a world without cell phones connected to your hip.

Waverly's favorite is Good Night Gorilla. She loves pointing out the moon and the balloon.

For those of you who haven't read it (shame on you) but the animals sneak into the zookeeper's house and his wife turned on the light to find a gorilla in bed with them. As soon as I turn to this page, Waverly SCREAMS!!!! It's SOOOO funny. Then I yell, "THERE'S A GORILLA IN MY BED!"

W is obsessed with babies and she noticed in the center hallway picture, Mrs. Joe has a baby gorilla in her arms. Well, now when I lay W down for bed she says "book" then "baby, baby, baby" until I find this page. It's so sweet that she sleeps with the baby in the book :)

Fashionista in Training

W was really excited today b/c it was Friends and Family Day at H's school. I gave myself 30 minutes to get her dressed. She has become VERY picky and I have to leave extra time so she won't have a rolling-on-the-ground-screaming-fit over her attire. She finally selected the "Daddy's #1 Heart Breaker" shirt. She found a bow and beads to add to the outfit. HOWEVER, before leaving she decided to take those off and go with the sunglasses instead. BUT once we reached the car, she handed me the sunglasses. I was just happy we made it up there on time!
